Hmmmm, not sure what to think of all this. I can kinda understand making racist throwaway remarks when you're drunk but not sure how producing T-Shirts can be excused as a "idiot drunken" thing.
Anyway, listen to the audio. What a loser.

The man accused of selling racist T-shirts in Alice Springs has made a tearful apology for causing offence.

The man, known only as "Red", caused outrage when he offered "White Power Alice Springs" T-shirts for sale from his car in the Alice Springs main street this week.

The T-shirts also had the swastika symbol on them.

Red denies the T-shirts were a response to the killing of an Aboriginal man in Alice Springs in July, which is the subject of a murder trial.

Red says the stunt was only a drunken joke and he has received death threats since.

"I'm so sorry about what I said and there's no real malice or reason behind it," he said.

"Just things you do when you have a bit of a drug problem but that's not the excuse.

"I'll cop it sweet. I dug my hole.

"And I'd just like to apologise to all the good people in Alice and around Australia."

The Australian Race Discrimination Commissioner, Graeme Innes, says the man's actions could inflame a sensitive situation in Alice Springs.

"In a town like that, just a thing such as making up T-shirts can really inflame a situation," he said.

"And it's a very silly thing to do and it's unacceptable to the vast majority of the Australian population."
